The Edible Architecture: Bringing the Farm to the Point of Origin

Welcome back to the Project Clean Up (PCU) weekly newsletter! We hope you enjoyed our brief mid-summer hiatus.

Before the break, we spent a month completely re-engineering the urban macro-infrastructure. We built apartment complexes that generate their own decentralized power via Virtual Power Plants, grow their own walls using biogenic concrete and mycelium, and endlessly recycle their own greywater through smart grids.

We have built a shelter that breathes and metabolizes. Today, we give it the final element required for true autonomy: Food Production. For the last century, cities have been biological deserts, completely dependent on vast external supply chains that transport produce thousands of miles before it reaches a plate. This week, we explore Vertical Aeroponics and how we are turning the biogenic apartment building into a hyper-local, high-yield farm.
